(Little Rock-AP) -- Reform Party candidate Pat Buchanan attacked Springdale-based Tyson Foods yesterday during his visit to the state. Buchanan said he wants to remove illegal immigrants from the United States by first searching the prisons and then searching businesses such as Tyson. Buchanan accused the chicken processing industry of being a magnet to lure illegal aliens to the country.

Tyson spokesman Ed Nicholson responded saying the company takes many measures to ensure its workers have the proper documentation. Nicholson says Tyson has no knowledge of any illegal immigrants working for the company.

Buchanan, a staunch anti-immigrationist, advocates building a fence along the entire length of America's border with Mexico.
