(McAlester-AP) -- The state Medical Examiner's office says an inmate at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary who was found dead in his cell in August was strangled.

The death of 33-year-old Larry Bicking has been ruled a homicide. The medical examiner says something had been tied around Bicking's neck.

An investigation is being conducted into his death, but no suspects have been named.

Bicking was serving 30 years stemming from an Oklahoma County case involving indecent and lewd acts with a child, indecent exposure and exhibition of obscene material.

He began his prison term in March 1998.
