(Tulsa-AP) -- Tulsa Union has been officially reprimanded for the length of its halftime show during the Union-Stilwater football game.

The show was timed at 45 minutes, 15 minutes longer than an agreement reached before the game by the two schools.

The director of the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association says something needed to be done.

Danny Rennels says Union has been told that penalties will be imposed on Union should another event like this occur.

Union athletic director Benny Dixon says he takes full responsibility for the lengthy show. Dixon says he's written a letter of apology to Stilwater and eagerly complied with the investigation of the event.
