Celebrating its 22nd year, Tulsa’s Oktoberfest, also dubbed as the "Best Fest in the West" is in full swing on the west bank of the Arkansas River. The Oktoberfest site is located at 2100 South Jackson Avenue in Tulsa. KOTV Channel 6 and kotv.com are proud sponsors of the event which has recruited more than 2,000 volunteers from the local community to help with this year’s celebration. KOTV chief Meteorologist Jim Giles is Oktoberfest’s Honorary Chairman. Giles is predicting perfect weather for today's kickoff of the annual Fall festival.
Authentic Bavarian music, food, and crafts along with a mini-amusement park provide a blend of culture and fun that makes critics from major publications proclaim Tulsa’s Oktoberfest as “one of the best festivals in the nation.â€
Admission is free. Hours are: Thursday: 5:00 – 10:00 PM, Friday: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM, Saturday: 10:00 AM – 11:00 PM, and Sunday: 12 noon – 6:00 PM.
