Prosecutors reviewing reports of alleged nursing home assault

(Grove-AP) -- Delaware County prosecutors are deciding whether to file charges in the alleged sexual assault of a 92-year-old nursing home resident stricken with Alzheimer's disease.

A police report indicates that the woman was taken from the Betty Ann Nursing Center to a Grove hospital emergency room about 11 p-m August 30th for an examination to determine whether she'd been molested.

The report indicates the nurse in charge went into the victim's room about 4 p-m and saw the woman with her slip pulled up to her waist and her skirt on the floor. A 46-year-old orderly was still in the room.

The report says the woman put her hand on nurse Johnnie Fox's shoulders and pleaded for help.

The orderly has been suspended from his job but hasn't been arrested. The Daily Oklahoman reports that the man denies the allegations.
