(Tulsa-AP) -- The University of Tulsa's football team is getting a big boost on defense this season. And it's thanks to the sacrifice of Da'mond Robinson.

Robinson is quick and strong and feels he's more suited to play defensive end. But he agreed to move from end to tackle where he's fighting off much bigger players.

Since making the switch, Robinson has made 19 tackles. He's one of Tulsa's most consistent playmakers.

T-U coaches credit Robinson's quickness and maturity for holding down the middle of Tulsa's defense. But none of it has changed Robinson's mind.

He says he still likes the end better.
