A Tulsa classroom teacher was recognized for her good work Wednesday. State School Superintendent Sandy Garrett presented Theresa Kiger with the Milken Family Foundation Award. Kiger, a teacher at Grove Elementary School is one of six Oklahoma teachers to receive the award.
The Milken Family Foundation Award has been presented to 145 educators from 42 states this year. For her ourstanding teaching efforts, Kiger received a check for $25,000.
