(Undated-AP) -- Authorities say a 112-car train hit and killed a person laying on the train tracks -- apparently asleep -- north of the Claremore city limits in Rogers County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the Burlington-Northern Freight Train's engineer tried to alert the victim with safety lights and sirens. But the victim didn't awake.

The victim's name hasn't been released pending identification and notification of relatives.

The accident occurred about nine o'clock last night.
