(Port Orchard, Washington-AP) -- The Tulsa men's golf team finished in a fifth-place tie today in the Husky Invitational in Port Orchard, Washington.
After an opening round 364 put the Golden Hurricane in first-place by one stroke the team shot a second round 392, then a final round 371.
The Hurricane tied with Washington State and California in the ten team tournament, 24-strokes behind champion Pepperdine.
T-U's Billy Lowry and Kevin Henry finished tied for 17th individually, both shooting a seven over par 223.
Cowboys finish 12th at Fall Preview
(Durham, North Carolina-AP) -- The Oklahoma State Cowboys hit the golf course for the first time since their N-C-Double-A title last June.
The Cowboys were in Durham, North Carolina to play in the Fall Preview at the Duke Golf Club.
O-S-U took 12th place at the rain-shortened event. The Cowboys carded a final round of 303 to finish 16 strokes behind pre-season Number One Georgia.
The Cowboys were paced by freshman Matt McQuillan who shot a total 3-over-par-147. McQuillan finished 19th.
O-S-U is back in action at the Red River Classic in Dallas.
