(San Antonio, Texas-AP) -- Former Oklahoma State standout Brian Watts began the day just one stroke off the lead of the two-point-six million dollars Westin Texas Open being played in San Antonio.

Watts and three others shot an opening round five-under par 65.

Justin Leonard, Mike Sposa, Mark Wiebe and Loren Roberts started the day at the top of the leaderboard with first round 64s.
