(Oklahoma City-AP) -- A former Oklahoma State professor has been stabbed to death in his apartment in the United Arab Emirates.
Authorities there say 63-year-old James Jackman was stabbed to death last week by his wife.
Officials say 31-year-old Julie Jackman was arrested and charged by United Arab Emirates authorities with premeditated murder.
Officials say Julie Jackman allegedly stabbed James Jackman with a kitchen knife.
James Jackman had served as an associate professor of business law at Oklahoma State from 1979 until December. He took early retirement in December and accepted the job of assistant dean of business sciences at Dubai's Zayed University. Zayed University is a new national university for women.
He practiced law in Oklahoma City in the 1970s before teaching at Oklahoma State.
