The father of the man accused of committing crimes that shocked the town of Oilton says his son deserves what he gets from the criminal justice system.
The father of 19-year old Robert Rotramel told The News on 6 that his son spent time at two juvenile treatment centers after two molestation incidents.
Prosecutors have charged Robert Rotramel with killing 7-year-old Kristi Blevins and raping her 12-year-old friend.
Rotramel's father Roy says he thought his son had been cured of his sexual problems.
Roy Rotramel supports the community's efforts to get the state to open up some juvenile records.
One woman, Mary Molder is passing out letters for people to send to local, state and national lawmakers.
She wants legislation adding juveniles to the list of registered sex offenders.
“We have a right to register them as a pedophiles, the same as a 25 year old pedophile. They can do just as much damage,†says Molder.
Oilton's police chief says he supports what the town is trying to do to get the laws changed.
