Bixby man charged in sexual abuse of former girlfriend's son

(Tulsa-AP) -- A Bixby man faces charges that he molested his former girlfriend's son.

Loyd "Buster" Dowler also faces charges that he videotaped the woman having sex with the boy.

His former girlfriend, Catherine Nicholson, was charged last week with first-degree rape and forcible sodomy in Muskogee County.

Police say Dowler was arrested in Arkansas on weapons and drug complaints. He was extradited to the Tulsa Jail and is being held on the drug charges.

After his arrest, videotapes depicting sex acts between Nicholson and the boy were delivered to the Department of Human Services and Tulsa police.

Authorities determined Dowler shot the videos.

The boy says his mother had been having sexual relations with him since he was 8. He also told authorities that Dowler had sexually abused him 30 or 40 times.
