(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Muskogee car dealer Andy Ewing will be the Republican candidate for Congress in the Second District.

Ewing beat out seven Republicans who were vying for the nomination left open by the retirement of Representative Tom Coburn.

Ewing will face the winner of the Democratic runoff. Brad Carson and state Representative Bill Settle will meet on September 19th.

Incumbent Representatives J.C. Watts, Steve Largent and Ernest Istook easily beat inexperienced and poorly funded opponents in their G-O-P primaries.

In the Sixth District, state Representative Randy Beutler will face unopposed Republican Representative Frank Lucas.

Watts faces a four-way race against Democrat, Reform Party and Libertarian candidates.

Largent will face Democrat Dan Lowe and Libertarian Michael Clem.

Istook also faces a three-way race against Democrat, Libertarian and independent candidates.
