Police in Glenpool say recalled Firestone Tires are not to blame for an accident near Glenpool that killed a man and sent two others to the hospital.

Officers say the tires were fully inflated and did not cause the driver to lose control of the vehicle and hit a telephone pole.

The accident killed 26-year-old Michael Wood of Tulsa Saturday morning.

22-year-old David Smith is in critical condition and 21-year old Marcus Gerand is in serious condition at a local hospital.

Police are still investigating the cause of the accident. They are waiting for a toxicology report from the medical examiner.
