10th circuit upholds death sentence

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Oklahoma death row inmate Vincent Allen Johnson has lost an appeal at the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

A three-judge panel upheld Johnson's death sentence unanimously Wednesday. The court said he received a fair trial despite his claims to the contrary.

Johnson was convicted of killing Shirley Mooneyham in 1991, allegedly at the request of her estranged husband. Mooneyham's husband, Ted Holt, was acquitted.
