SADDLE RIVER, N.J. (AP) â€” The father of hip-hop star Wyclef Jean was admitted to a hospital two days after he was reported missing.

Relatives of the Rev. Gesner Jean, 59, who was reported missing on Sunday, called police Tuesday from their Saddle River home to ask for medical assistance, said Chief Robert Re.

Re said the elder Jean, the pastor of Good Shepherd Church of the Nazarene, was admitted to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood.

His condition was not immediately available on Wednesday.

Re said there would be no criminal investigation into his disappearance.

Wyclef Jean, 29, is a founding member of the Fugees. His latest recording, ``The Ecleftic: 2 Sides II a Book,'' is scheduled to be released next week.
