(Wichita Falls-AP) -- Dallas Cowboys veteran Erik Williams wasn't sure he wanted to be at training camp. So Williams stayed home. Until now.
The Pro Bowl offensive lineman changed his mind over the weekend and finally rejoined his teammates today in Wichita Falls. Williams says he's not ready to play yet, and he just got his head right.
Williams kept himself in shape just in case he decided to return. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones didn't pressure Williams either way.
The eight-year right tackle isn't expected to be fined. Had Williams retired, he would've lost one-point-six million dollars in signing bonuses for the two years remaining on his contract.
By returning, Williams gets to keep that money and will pocket another one-point-85 million dollars in salary this season and next. The right tackle is coming off a Pro Bowl season, his third in four years.
