(Stillwater-AP) -- D.D. Cox says leaving his family in Colorado to join the Oklahoma State football program was easy in large part because of coach Bob Simmons.
Cox was a standout at Boulder Fairview, just down the road from the University of Colorado. He says he believes in what Simmons and his staff are trying to accomplish.
Cox grew up a fan of the Colorado Buffaloes and spent his summers as a ball boy at Folsom Field. Interestingly, Simmons was there as a C-U assistant.
Cox ran for more than 1500 yards and had 22 touchdowns in his senior year. He is one of 28 newcomers on campus, including 21 signed freshmen.
