BRISTOW, Okla. (AP) -- A former police officer here has been charged with indecent exposure for allegedly taking nude pictures of a teen-age girl while on duty, said a Creek County prosecutor.
David L. Carnagey, 37, of Tulsa was fired last week after only two months on the job, said prosecutor Don Nelson. Carnagey allegedly took the pictures of the nude 18-year-old Bristow woman in July and showed the photographs to others, Bristow Police Officer Carl Glisson stated in an affidavit.
Carnagey admitted to taking the photographs and showing them to other members of the Bristow Police Department, records indicate. Police Chief Kenneth Britt also questioned reserve officer David McClammey, who admitted to being present while the photos were snapped, the affidavit stated. McClammey has resigned, Britt said.
None of the nude photographs has been recovered, but the18-year-old has verified the story, Nelson said. He said he expects an arrest warrant to be issued soon on Carnagey and that an investigation by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation will also focus on whether other members of the Bristow Police Department were involved in the incident.
Carnagey was a security guard at Tulsa's East Central High School last year, said John Hamill, spokesman for Tulsa Public Schools. McClammey said he resigned because he wasn't getting enough work with the department, but declined further comment. Carnagey couldn't be reached for comment Tuesday.
