(Tulsa-AP) -- A presidential candidate is suing to get on the November ballot in Oklahoma. Consumer advocate Ralph Nader filed a federal lawsuit yesterday to force the state to put him on the ballot as the Green Party's presidential candidate.
Vice presidential hopeful Winona LaDuke and eleven Oklahoma supporters joined Nader in the lawsuit.
The suit names the Oklahoma State Election Board and its officers as defendants. Nader supporters came up short on a petition attempt to get him on the ballot. The lawsuit alleges that Oklahoma places an unfair burden on independent presidential candidates.
