(Tulsa-AP) -- Local and state officials say they aren't worried about the future of Corrections Corporation of America operations in Oklahoma.

Doctor R. Crants was fired Monday as CEO of Prison Realty Trust and C-C-A in what company officials say is part of a restructuring. The company's restructuring plan was announced after problems at its prisons and shareholder accusations of improper dealings led to a stock slide.

Shareholders of Prison Realty Trust are to consider a restructuring plan September 12th. A spokesman for the state Department of Corrections says the agency is monitoring the situation.

Tennessee-based C-C-A is the world's largest private prison operator. It and sister company, Prison Realty Trust, operated several facilities in Oklahoma, including the Tulsa Jail and the North Fork Correctional Facility in Sayre.
