Oklahoma student elected secretary of student senate group
TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- A Kiefer High School student has been elected secretary of a national student senate group. Josh Yount, 17, is a senator from Oklahoma in the American Legion Boys Nation Senate.

TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- A Kiefer High School student has been elected secretary of a national student senate group. Josh Yount, 17, is a senator from Oklahoma in the American Legion Boys Nation Senate. Yount and 95 others were selected from American Legions boys state programs to conduct mock government in Washington.
The senators split into two parties Saturday and held caucuses. Yount was nominated for senate secretary from the Nationalist Party and was elected. The group was to be given tours of Arlington National Cemetery, the State Department, the Supreme Court, Capitol Hill and the White House.
