(Muskogee-AP) -- Muskogee police found a woman dead at her home this morning, apparently the victim of foul play.

Police say the victim's burgundy 1995 Chevy Tahoe was missing. Sergeant Derek Apple says law enforcement officers are reportedly pursuing as many as three suspects in connection with the case.

Apple says the reported suspects fled a vehicle on Interstate 40 near Muldrow. Authorities haven't released the woman's identity but say she's in her mid-50s. Apple says the body was discovered about 11 a-m today and appears to have been killed sometime after 11 p-m yesterday.
