(Tulsa-AP) -- A Tulsa woman has been charged with manslaughter in connection with a July 4th traffic accident that left an elderly woman dead. Regina Lynn Crowels has been charged with felony counts o ffirst-degree manslaughter and leaving the scene of a fatal accident. She's also been charged with misdemeanor counts of driving under revocation, transporting beer in an open container and failing to use a child restraint system.

The charges stem from an accident in which 70-year-old Dorothy Tillis of Tulsa was killed. Tulsa Police say Tillis turned her compact car left in front of a sport-utility vehicle driven by Crowels. Crowels' three-year-old niece was in the sport-utility vehicle
