(McAlester-AP) -- Officers responding to a call of a possible dead body today found the body of the brother-in-law of McAlester police chief Dave Nave.

Police say the body of Troy Munholland was discovered with an apparent head injury inside his home at about 2:29 this morning.

Police say they don't think Munholland's death has anything to do with his relation to Nave or to Pittsburg County Sheriff's deputy Steve Nave, who is Munholland's nephew.

The state Medical Examiner's office has had no comment in the case. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has been called in to assist.
