(Muskogee-AP) -- Bacone football coach David Ross has been named athletic director as the school.
Bacone is preparing to join the N-A-I-A and become a member of the Sooner Athletic Conference. The school now plans to compete in 12 sports.
The college announced Ross' appointment Tuesday and named Carl Scott as associate athletic director in fund raising and public relations. Scott had been athletic director.
The school named Matt Cloud as baseball coach and added a rodeo team and named Benny Don Foreman of Miami and Teresa Grist of Dewar as coaches.
Bacone will compete one more year as a junior college. Eight of those have been added in the past year.
Ross' football team will compete beginning with the 2001 season.
