(Oklahoma City-AP) -- U-S Representative Tom Coburn is being mentioned on the short list of possible candidates for the Number two spot on a Reform Party ticket headed by former Republican Pat Buchanan.
The three-term Oklahoma congressman was mentioned on the list in Monday's edition of U-S-A Today, along with talk show host Laura Schlessinger, Teamsters President James Hoffa, G-O-P presidential candidate Alan Keyes and others.
But a Coburn spokesman says the congressman is looking forward to resuming his medical practice in Oklahoma.
And an official in the Buchanan camp says the list has little, if any, significance.
The names leaked to the newspaper reportedly came from a bull session with some members of the Buchanan staff.
