Irving, Texas (AP) -- Running back Troy Hambrick, the brother of Dallas linebacker Darren Hambrick, signed with the Cowboys on
Thursday.

Hambrick rushed for 1,189 yards and 18 touchdowns last season at Savannah State, and also caught 14 passes for 111 yards and one touchdown.

Hambrick, who wasn't drafted out of college, played three seasons at South Carolina before transferring to Savannah State for his senior season. During his three seasons with the Gamecocks, he rushed for 1,586 yards and 14 TDs.
