Several models of jogging strollers have recently been recalled by their manufacturers in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). They include:
*BOB Trailers strollers - a front wheel connector can crack during use, causing the wheel to separate from the frame. Call 1-800-893-2447 weekdays between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.
*Baby Trend "Road Runner" jogging strollers - shipped without straps attached to the frame to secure the seat and prevent a child from falling out while leaning forward. Call 1-800-238-7363 weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. PT.
*InStep and Healthrider single and double jogging strollers - the brake can fail, causing the stroller to roll away unexpectedly. Call 1-800-242-6110 weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
For more information, call CPSC's hotline at 1-800-638-2772 (toll free) or visit the commission's Web site www.cpsc.gov.
