OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Here are the conditions at Oklahoma lakes as reported Wednesday by the state Department of Wildlife
Conservation and lake rangers.


CENTRAL
Konawa: Elevation normal, water 75 and clear. Black bass good on
plastic worms, 5-8 ft., in the weed beds and cattails; channel
catfish good on chicken liver and cut shad, 15-20 ft., in the
discharge canal.
Murray: Elevation 5 ft. below normal, water 70 and clear. Black
bass fair on plastic worms and medium-running crankbaits; sand bass
and crappie fair on minnows and jigs; channel catfish fair on
stinkbait.
Thunderbird: Elevation normal, water 55. Crappie good on minnows
and jigs, 2-3 ft.; saugeye good on worms and crankbaits, 3-6 ft.,
off points.
Wes Watkins: Water 58 and murky. Black bass good on plastic
worms in brushpiles; crappie fair on live minnows; channel catfish
fair.
NORTHEAST
Carl Blackwell: Elevation normal, water 67 and murky. Black bass
good on spinnerbaits and crankbaits; crappie excellent on minnows
and jigs in shallow water; saugeye good on crankbaits and jigs.
Copan: Crappie good on minnows and jigs, 4-6 ft., near the
banks.
Eucha: Elevation below normal, water 68 and clear. All fishing
reported good.
Fort Gibson: Elevation 2 ft. above normal, water 70 and murky.
Black bass good on spinnerbaits and plastic worms; channel catfish
excellent on shad, prepared baits and worms; crappie fair 8-10 ft.
over brushpiles.
Greenleaf: Black bass good on spinnerbaits and crankbaits near
shoreline; crappie good on minnows and jigs near fishing docks and
brushpiles.
Hudson: Black bass good on spinnerbaits and plastic worms;
channel catfish good on cut bait; crappie good on minnows.
Kaw: Sand bass fair trolling crankbaits in the Ponca Cove area;
blue and channel catfish good on jug lines using shad and in the
rocky areas on worms; crappie good on minnows and jigs, 2-10 ft.,
near brushpiles and rocks.
Keystone: Elevation 5 ft. above normal, water 68 and murky.
Channel catfish good on cut shad.
Oologah: Elevation 1 ft. above normal and rising. Channel
catfish good on cut shad, liver and worms in creeks in the upper
end; crappie good on minnows and jigs, 2-3 ft.
Skiatook: Elevation 6 ft. above normal, water clear lower, murky
upper. Hybrids fair; channel catfish good in flooded areas around
bridge piers.
Sooner: Sand bass fair on minnows and jigs off the highway;
channel catfish fair on cut bait and worms; crappie fair on minnows
and jigs off the highway.
Spavinaw: Elevation normal, water 70 and clear. All fishing
reported good.
Tenkiller: Elevation 2 ft. above normal and rising, water clear
lower and murky upper. Black bass good on jigs-and-pigs and plastic
worms; channel catfish good on worms in the murky water in the
upper portion; crappie excellent in the shallows.
Webbers Falls: Blue catfish good on shad; crappie good on
minnows and jigs near shore.
SOUTHEAST
Atoka: Elevation 7 ft. below normal, water 66. Crappie fair on
minnows, 5-10 ft., along the shoreline near structure.
Broken Bow: Elevation normal, water 68 and clear. Black bass
fair off points; crappie fair in the creek channels.
Eufaula: Elevation 2 ft. above normal, water murky. Black bass
fair on plastic baits in shallow areas; sand bass good below the
dam when running and near bridge pilings; channel catfish good on
flats near rocks; crappie good off bridge pilings and below the
dam.
Hugo: Elevation 3 ft. above normal, water 65. Black bass fair on
spinnerbaits; channel catfish fair on cut shad; crappie good on
live minnows.
McGee Creek: Elevation normal, water 66 and clear. Black bass
fair on soft plastic lures and shallow running crankbaits, 3-8 ft.
Pine Creek: Elevation 3 ft. above normal and dropping, water 62
and clear. Black bass good on spinnerbaits and crankbaits off
points and in creek channels; channel catfish fair on cut shad in
the river channel.
Robert S. Kerr: Elevation normal, water 68 and murky. Black bass
good on soft plastic baits and jerk baits, 2-6 ft., near weedbeds
and stump fields; sand bass fair on jigs and shad type lures in the
upper end; channel catfish good on fresh shad, 15 ft.; crappie good
on jigs and small minnows, 3-6 ft., near weedbeds and stump fields
near the shore.
Sardis: Elevation normal, water 62 and clear. Black bass good on
topwater lures, spinnerbaits and soft plastic baits; channel
catfish good on cut shad and stinkbaits; crappie good, 4-8 ft.,
over brushpiles and near rocky points.
Texoma: Elevation 1 ft. below normal, water 62 and clear. Black
bass good on spinnerbaits, 4-6 ft., in the creeks; sand bass good
on sassy shad, 5-10 ft., off points.
Wister: Elevation 3 ft. above normal. Black bass good on dark
colored salt craws and soft plastic baits, 3-9 ft.; channel catfish
good on whole shad, 8-16 ft.; crappie excellent on minnows, 2-6 ft.
NORTHWEST
Canton: Elevation normal. Sand bass and hybrids good on slabs
and live shad; channel catfish fair; crappie fair on minnows and
jigs, 5-10 ft.
Fort Supply: Sand bass fair on spinnerbaits; crappie fair on
minnows and jigs near brushpiles.
Great Salt Plains: Elevation normal, water murky. Channel
catfish good on shad and stinkbaits.
SOUTHWEST
Altus-Lugert: Sand bass and hybrids good with live bait on
bottom in open water; channel catfish good on cut bait in open
water on bottom; crappie good on minnows and jigs, 4-6 ft., near
rocks; walleye good early and late trolling along the rocks.
Ellsworth: Elevation normal, water 64 and murky. Channel catfish
fair on chicken liver and stinkbait in the cattails; crappie fair
on minnows and jigs, 2-10 ft., near rocks and brushpiles.
Foss: Elevation normal, water 60 and clear. Hybrids fair
trolling medium-running crankbaits in the upper end; channel
catfish good on cut bait in the upper end; saugeye fair on minnows
and small jigs off points and off the dam face.
Fort Cobb: Elevation 1 ft. above normal, water murky. Sand bass
good on small spinnerbaits and jigs along the dam in the evenings;
channel catfish good on cut shad and liver, 6-10 ft., off windy
points.
Tom Steed: Sand bass and hybrids good on minnows off points and
trolling crankbaits; crappie good on minnows, 3-6 ft., in Otter
Creek and Glen Creek and around rocks near the dam.
Waurika: Elevation 1 ft. below normal, water 68 and murky. Blue
catfish good with shad on juglines, 20 ft.; channel catfish fair on
minnows, 4-8 ft.; crappie good on minnows and jigs, 1-4 ft., near
rocks and timber.
All fishing is reported as slow at the following lakes:
Arbuckle, Birch, Draper, Hulah.
