TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Former Women's Air Corps poster girl Mary Louise Rambin has died at the age of 82.

Rambin, who is originally from Pittsburgh, enlisted in the service in World War II and was picked by four generals to become the first poster girl for recruiting and bond sales for the U.S. Army during World War II.

The posters were distributed across the United States and Europe.

Rambin died Tuesday.

She is survived by her husband, Peyton; son Ron Rambin of Tulsa, daughters Cheryl Rambin and Mary Jayne Rambin, both of Tulsa, and two grandchildren.
