STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) -- The Oklahoma State men's basketball team has junior-college transfer Maurice Baker to a letter of intent.

The 6-foot-1 Baker averaged 18.8 points and 6.9 rebounds per game last season at Dixie (Utah) College. He led his team in scoring, assists and steals and was second in rebounds.

Baker is the seventh player to sign with Oklahoma State.

"He is a tremendous athlete who brings great leadership ability to our team," coach Eddie Sutton said. "He will step in and provide good on-court guidance as our point guard, which will allow Victor Williams to play as the shooting guard."

Baker will have two seasons of eligibility at OSU.
