(Oklahoma City-AP) -- A legislative economic development leader says the low cost of living in Oklahoma City and Tulsa is good for business.
Ted Fisher is chairman of the state Senate Economic Development Committee. He says the cities tied for having the tenth best Cost of Living Index in the nation, as rated by Regional Financial Associates. He says the study shows $91.30 will go as far in Oklahoma City as more than $134 will in New York City.
Fisher says businesses can make bigger profits here by lowering their overhead. He says state officials should be pushing Oklahoma's affordability to out-of-state business interests.
