(Stamford, Conneticut-AP) -- Three student athletes with Oklahoma ties made the 2000 G-T-E Academic All-American Fall/Winter At-Large Men's Team.
Tulsa Golden Hurricane cross-country runner Tim Surface made the first team for university division. Surface is a junior from Jefferson City, Missouri who is majoring in management information systems. He carries a 4.0 grade average.
Making the second team in the university division was Oklahoma Sooner wrestler Dave Kjeldgaard. Kjeldgaard is a junior from Council Bluffs, Iowa who is a management major.
He carries a 3.87 grade point.
And Sooner gymnast Huy Ly made the third team in the university division. Ly is a senior zoology/pre-med major from Stillwater who carries a 3.76 grade point.
The teams are selected by a vote of the 1,800 member College Sports Information Directors of America.
