(Norman, Oklahoma-AP) -- The University of Oklahoma has been dismissed from a federal lawsuit brought by former soccer player Kathleen Peay.
Peay, who's from Richardson, Texas, sued the university for physical, emotional and sexual abuse during the 1997 and 1998 seasons.
Federal judge David Russell ruled Tuesday. The plaintiffs have ten days to refile the claims.
Attorney Russell Mulinix says he plans to file amended suits against O-U and former head coach Bettina Fletcher and assistant coach Missy Durham.
Former assistant coach Randall Robison didn't file a motion to dismiss.
The alleged activities included an initiation ritual where team members were forced to wear diapers and simulate sex acts.
