There's a new on-line mortgage service that lets you choose the interest rate you want to pay. And some cars of the future could save you a bundle at the gas pump.

With gas prices topping a $1.50 a gallon, many drivers are looking for ways to save.
The big three auto makers are looking for new ways, too. Daimler-Chrysler, Ford and General Motors joined forces to create full-sized fuel-efficient concept cars that will get up to 80 miles per gallon.

The government is backing the big three as they develop technologies to save gas, money and energy. Their goal is to produce an affordable concept car by the year 2004.

If you're shopping for a home, you can cut back on drive time by going on-line to find a loan. Priceline.com is now offering mortgage services.

You can name your own rate and terms. Priceline will send your offer to dozens of mortgage companies. If one of them accepts your offer, you could also get free airline tickets from Priceline.com.

Are you having cash flow problems? Are credit card bills adding up? Consumer Credit Counseling can teach you how to do more with less money and how to get a handle on debt. The Center is teaming up with Tulsa Public Libraries to offer free seminars next week. Call Consumer Credit Counseling for dates, times and locations. Their telephone number is 744-5611.
