(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Attorney General Drew Edmondson said today that hundreds of Oklahomans will share in a 30 million dollar nationwide consumer restitution agreement with a telemarketing firm.

More than 770 state residents are eligible to receive restitution as part of the settlement among 48 states, the District of Columbia and United States Sales Corporation.

The company does business as United States Purchasing Exchange.

U-S-P-E sends out millions of mailings each year that include product offerings as well as sweepstakes entry forms.

Edmondson says older consumers have bought the company's products thinking they had a better chance of winning a sweepstakes.

Edmondson says the settlement requires the company to provide clear and conspicuous sweepstakes facts for consumers on their sweepstakes entry form, including a statement that the consumer has not yet won a prize.
