Good spelling is an important skill for people of all ages, as shown at one special spelling bee Tuesday morning. Area spellers age 60 and over met Tuesday in the Hartford building in Tulsa to test their knowledge. The Tulsa Area Agency on Aging hosted the event. Barbara Madison of Tulsa was Tuesday's winner. She spelled "accumulate" to win the title of best speller. Barbara Madison will now go on to the Oklahoma Agency on Aging spelling bee on May 3rd in Oklahoma City.
