(Sanford, Florida-AP) -- A Florida teacher faces dismissal for allegedly offering students better grades if they donated to her holiday charity drive.
Authorities say Seminole High math teacher Debbie Dominguez also asked the students to falsely support her claim that she returned their money.
Dominguez told her students before Christmas that she was collecting canned food and money for her church. One student has told investigators Dominguez promised to improve their grade by one letter for every 20 dollars they brought in.
Authorities say Dominguez collected about 130 dollars and 100 cans of food from her students, but there is no evidence she gave any of it to a church.
She has been suspended without pay since March seventh.
