Street improvement areas whcih will affect Tulsa traffic include:

March 20-22: Third Street will be closed just east of Jamestown Avenue for a water line tie-in associated with street construction.

March 21: The northbound curb lane of south Harvard Avenue will be closed at Fourth Street for two to three weeks for a water line tie-in associated with street construction.

Riverside Drive, Houston Avenue to Southwest Boulevard - Pavement repairs will begin soon. Motorists should expect delays.

East 54th Street North is closed between Madison and Kenosha Avenues for seven to 10 days for street construction. Nearby residents should use Madison Avenue for access to 56th Street North, and 52nd Street to access Peoria Avenue.

East 116th Street South is closed between Hudson and Fulton Avenues for 15 days. Construction crews are installing a storm sewer near the Frenchman's Creek subdivision. A detour is marked for traffic between Sheridan Road and Yale Avenue.

Sheridan Road, 71st to 81st Streets: Work has begun to widen Sheridan to five lanes. Delays should be expected. Completion of this project is estimated for November.

61st Street, Memorial Drive to Sheridan Road: Two lanes of traffic are open on 61st Street between 76th East Avenue and South Sheridan Road. All four lanes will be opened in early April, after crews finish building a retaining wall. 61st Street us being widened to five lanes (center turn-lane) between Memorial and Sheridan Road.

41st Street Bridge over the Broken Arrow Expressway is closed through August for construction of a new bridge. Through traffic is blocked on 41st Street between Memorial Drive and Mingo Road.

South Mingo Road, 96th to 101st Street: The road is being widened to three lanes; motorists should expect delays. Completion is expected in March.

Harvard Avenue, 31st to 41st Streets: The southbound curb lane is closed during work hours for construction of curb, gutter and sidewalks. This site is the first work area of a multiple-location, street rehabilitation contract. Time on the 210-day contract will begin on April 1, after winter weather has passed.

71st Street and Riverside Parkway: the center westbound lane on 71st Street is closed near Riverside, as well as the outside westbound lane on the 71st Street bridge over the Arkansas River. Crews are building a pedestrian/bicycle trail on the north side of the bridge. Completion is expected in June
