Here's a follow up to a Consumer 6 story The News on Six aired last week concerning how the state of Oklahoma does not require homebuilders to be licensed.
Senate bill 15-41 providing voluntary registration and bonding for homebuilders was introduced in the state senate last week, because of KOTV's story. However, the bill was killed this week.
One couple hoping the legislation would pass are the Bloss's. They lost more than $100,000 to their builder Ron Mayfield of Lifestyle Custom Homes. Please click here http://kotv.com/pages/viewpage.asp?id=2707to see the Consumer 6 story titled "Consumer 6: How to Select a Competent Home Builder."
