(Anaheim, California-AP) -- There's some reassuring new data for Viagra users. Doctors in Boston suggest the impotence pill is unlikely to trigger heart problems.
Doctors from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center analyzed 82 separate studies of Viagra. They say deaths and heart attacks among users were about what would be expected in middle-aged and older men in similar physical shape.
Many men with erectile dysfunction also often have heart trouble, since both conditions can have the same underlying causes.
The doctors say these men have a lot of risk factors that have nothing to do with Viagra. They add that sex itself can trigger a heart attack.
