(Dallas-AP) -- The Big 12 issued a public reprimand today to Oklahoma State coach Eddie Sutton over comments about officiating after Oklahoma State's loss to Iowa State Saturday in the conference tournament.
Conference Commissioner Kevin Weiberg says the nature of Sutton's comments violates the Conference rule. The violation is the first for Sutton about public comments on officiating.
The penalty for a second such violation is a one game suspension and a five thousand dollar fine paid by the university. Weiberg says the conference has -- quote -- "great respect for Coach Sutton and we know he conducts himself in a professional manner regarding officiating."
