A Tulsa woman who cares for her disabled son is missing and police suspect foul play.
Charlie Ramsey says he was disabled in a motorcycle accident two years ago in Florida. "My mom became my guardian and brought me back here," he said.
For the first time since Ramsey moved back to Tulsa, his mother Sandra Ramsey, isn't by his side. She's been missing for two days now. Police are investigating. "She's made no contact with anybody, no friends, no loved ones," said Tulsa police department spokesman sergeant Wayne Allen. "The fact is that she hardly ever left her son alone for more than a few minutes at a time."
Ramsey told police that his mother was walking over to a neighbor's house. But nobody heard anything, saw anything and she never made it to that friend's home. "I figured she was gone to one of the neighbor's," Ramsey explained. He says his mom left their home around noon.
Later that evening, her boyfriend dropped by the house and wondered where Mrs. Ramsey was. The boyfriend talked to some neighbors and then the family called police.
Investigators say Ramsey left behind her purse and both cars. "Those items alone make us fear that something has happened," Allen said.
And while Ramsey waits, he says he just wants his mother to come home. "Please come home, I need you and I'm worried," he said.
