(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Six Oklahomans who survived the Holocaust are among thousands trying to collect from life insurance policies confiscated or cashed in by the Nazis.

Anne Marie Goldenberg, of Stillwater, is still waiting to collect completely from the 1925 life insurance policy of her parents, who were killed in a Polish concentration camp in 1942. The 82-year-old says she thought a visit by State Insurance Commissioner Carroll Fisher would have helped, but she says so far all she gets are letters from German and Swiss insurance companies explaining the policy's details.

This month the International Commission on Holocaust Era Insurance Claims began processing thousands of requests like Goldenberg's. Oklahoma was the last state to officially join the international commission in late 1998.
