(Tulsa-AP) -- The Tulsa Golden Hurricane lost a stunner at home tonight.

Fresno State came to town and beat Tulsa 73-to-72.

Courtney Alexander scored 25 to lead Fresno. His final basket gave the Bulldogs the lead with 30 seconds remaining.

Eric Coley's tip-in try at the buzzer didn't fall as Tulsa lost for the second time to Fresno.

The loss tightens the race for first place in the Western Athletic Conference. Tulsa remains in first with a record of 10-and-2. Fresno State is 10-and-3.

The Hurricane is 25-and-3 overall.

David Shelton had 17 points and Greg Harrington scored 16 for Tulsa.
