KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Terrance Chatman hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to send the game into overtime and Missouri-Kansas City went on to beat Oral Roberts 88-84 Saturday to end a six-game losing streak against the Golden Eagles.

Chatman's 3-point shot was just the sixth he had made this season. "Terrance Chatman does that in practice every day," Kangaroos' coach Bob Sundvold said. "He has the ability to knock in shots that mean a lot."

Chatman converted a three-point play with 3:01 left in overtime to give Missouri-Kansas City (13-11, 8-5 Mid-Continent Conference the lead for good at 79-78.

Oral Roberts (11-14, 7-6) was up 78-76 after Eric Perry's 3-point shot with 3:25 left in overtime. Perry led the Golden Eagles with 23 points.

The Kangaroos got a turnaround jumper by Michael Jackson, who led all scorers with 26 points, with 1:38 left, and Will Palmer scored on a lay up with 40 seconds remaining.

The Kangaroos hit 5-of-6 free throws in the last 1:03. Missouri-Kansas City's Robbie Graves had 15 of his 19 points in the second half. Chatman had 14 points. Nathan Binam scored 22 points and Kyan Brown had 17 for Oral Roberts. The crowd of 6,536 was the largest of the season for the Kangaroos.
