(Dallas-AP) -- Former Dallas Cowboys coach Tom Landry has been laid to rest with full military honors. A private service was held today in Dallas for Landry at the Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home. It began with a two-hour visitation and was followed with a 20-minute eulogy from Cowboys chaplain John Weber.
Football greats including Tony Dorsett, Frank Gifford, Roger Staubach, Harvey Martin and Dan Reeves were among the 400 guests in attendance. His burial at Hillcrest Memorial Park included a fly by of military planes. Funeral home manager George Rohrer says the service was surprisingly upbeat. He said those in attendance shared a lot of memories.
