(Cairo, Egypt-AP) -- Apache Corporation of Houston has found oil in a well in Egypt's Western Desert.
The company says today's find may enable the company to begin recouping some of the 27-point-five (m) million dollars it has invested in a nearly two (m) million acre concession in the area.

The company plans to drill more than 30 exploration wells this year, well over the half-dozen drilled last year.

Sixteen of those will be in the Western Desert.

Apache Corporation operates in the United States, Canada, Egypt, Australia, Poland and China.
